Golden Doodle Became An Internet Sensation After His Heroic Act Of Rescuing A Baby Deer.
Dogs are the unpaid protectors of the world. Whether it is a human, another dog, another animal, or even a cat, a dog does not think twice about running into one and saving one from trouble. They do that with a pure heart. They do not want anything back in return. This story is about that kind of dog who dove into a river to save a deer he had never seen before.
Harley noticed something far with his little eyes.
Harley is a Goldendoodle owned by Virginia resident and retired Marine Corps pilot Ralph Dorn. On June 2, they were enjoying the outdoors by a nearby lake. Clouds were shining, and the weather was fine on that day. Ralph suddenly realized he could not find his dog anywhere. After circling the area for a bit, he discovered that Harley, his dog, was independently paddling to the lake’s center.

When Ralph looked closer, he realized that Harley was not alone and was saving a young deer trying to swim back to land. Harley had gone to save it, and when he arrived at the helpless creature, he began guiding the fawn back to dry land. Ralph wrote on Facebook that although Harley was unsure of how the fawn got there, he did not inquire as he immediately took action.

Haley was fawn’s protector.
Harley and the deer made it back to shore, and the deer’s mom returned for it. Ralph was proud of his heroic dog and said that Harley did not want to leave the fawn. He kept petting it, licking it and tending to it.

Ralph saw the fawn waiting outside his front door to see Harley again the following morning when he saw Harley was restless. They briefly reconnected as though the deer wanted to drop by to express its gratitude to Harley once more for saving it. After that, the mother deer and her young deer left once more. Ralph wrote on his Facebook that the little one stopped bleating, his tail began to wag, they met noses and exchanged sniffs, and Harley calmly followed.

Harley took the internet peoples’ hearts.
As a therapy dog, Harley has worked with both children and the elderly. Ralph says that they could tell right away, even as a puppy, that he had such a good heart, and he has always been like that with children and animals, loving them all. The story of Harley’s bravery and kind heart had moved people worldwide, with Ralph’s Facebook post being shared over 253,000 times.
It is amazing how dogs can sense danger and come to the rescue, whether for humans or animals. Harley’s story is a testament to the incredible bond between animals and how a small act of kindness can significantly change someone’s life.
